Welcome to the software section, where you can find information regarding the use of software and IT facilities on your laptop for the duration of your study at ITC.
ITC Software Manager
The ITC Software Manager (ISM) is provided to assist you with the download and installation of
software
that is necessary for your course. Additionally it provides access to most license managers while you are working outside the UT network and provides access to UT Network facilities. Click the download button below to start the download and installation process.
The 'ITC Software Manager' provides you with the following 3 services:
Software installation
The software installation process is fully automated. You will only have to select which applications you wish to install on your computer and click install. Software installations can be accessed from the internal network as well as from the internet. Please do not install more software then you actual need, first consult your module coordinator before installing additional software.
License redirection
This feature is needed whenever you are not working within the UT network (UT Campus, ITC building and ITC hotel) and are using an application that requires a so called license manager. With the license redirection you can access a license manager from anywhere on the internet.
Network access
This provides access to UT network facilities like network shares and network printers. By entering your username and password you will get shared and personal network drives and printers. This is only available from within the UT network but not from the internet.

Please make sure your computer satisfies the requirements below before you install the ITC Software Manager.

IMPORTANT NOTE: As of 24-6-2019 you will only be able to connect to the server with client version 2.8.0 or higher. Please upgrade if you have an older version.
The ITC Software Manager will check if you have antivirus software installed and that you have windows automatic updates activated. If this is not the case you will not be able to use the ITC Software Manager. Note, Windows 10 and 11 have a build in virus scanner and do not require additional virus scanners.
Additional recommendations:
Not all applications are supported on Windows 32 bit editions, change to the 64 bit edition
Windows 10 and 11 users may need to
enable dotnet 3.5
for some applications.
