Overview:
ATLAS.ti supports text, graphic, audio and video formats. Your Rich Text Files will maintain any arbitrary formatting, live web links, and even embedded objects such as Excel™ tables, PowerPoint™ slides, audio, and video. Enjoy the freedom of working with all major graphic formats and a few more, as well as an extensive variety of audio and video formats. Play multimedia files in sync with their transcriptions you can even do your transcription work right inside ATLAS.ti. And our new native Adobe™ PDF support feature allows you to use PDFs without losing their formatting. So the rule of thumb is: If it’s on your screen, it can be fully analyzed in ATLAS.ti.
Install information:

Since version 8 you will need an individual license code. This license code can be obtained from the IT service desk or notebook service center. If no code is supplied then ATLAS.ti will run as a trial version but it has no expiration date. It is fully functional except for the following limitations:

It is not possible to save projects that exceed a certain size, although you can open and use projects of any size. Maximum allowable sizes are:
10 primary documents (of unlimited size)
100 quotations (= data segments)
50 codes
30 memos
10 network views
auto backup is disabled.

After the license code is obtained you can enter it immediately after starting ATLAS.ti, it will prompt with a license code box.
